The 42nd ISF was held from April 12 to 14, 2011. Many exhibition booths introduced feet-friendly shoes, as well as socks, insoles, and foot care products. Along with trend seminars and walking workshops, the ISF offered fashion shows using exhibitors’ shoes and newest leg-fashion items.
Although many overseas exhibitors canceled because of the 2011 TÅhoku Earthquake and Tsunami occurred on March 11th and Fukushima nuclear accident, 101 exhibitors from Japan and overseas participated in the exhibition. Among 101 exhibitors, 72 of them were Japanese companies, and 29 were from overseas. The overseas companies were from Taiwan, China, Germany, France, Hong Kong and Bangladesh.
The three-day long fair drew a total of 5,009 visitors (4% increase from the previous year) including consumers.
Through various events and seminars held at the fair, exhibitors and wholesalers achieved a steadily progress in finding common ground with consumers, making it a great opportunity to conceive new business ideas.
